Fall season

Yoga provides a method for self healing by connecting breathe to body and mind.  This is a great way to get in shape and heal chronic pain.

“Be Sweet to Your Body & Soul”
Honey Hips Yoga provides methods of self healing that allow individuals to become more self aware, making deeper connections between mind and body, taking control of one’s health and straying from the dependence of western medicine.  Classes are accessible to all ages, levels and socioeconomic backgrounds.  Each class incorporates creative methods of healing, through the use of sound bowls, music, reiki, color therapy, massage, and essential oils.   The purpose is to become more in tune with the body, reduce and heal chronic pain, allowing the mind to become more focused via meditation while developing an individualized practice.  Stay tuned for our online academy, available in both english and spanish, creating accessibility for students from all over the world.

Alicia Vance is founder of Honey Hips Yoga, a group that provides harmony and peace, accessible to the community – those looking to nurture the body.  Her journey in yoga began twenty years ago practicing Jivamukti NYC and Ashtanga Institute in Santa Cruz. She completed a 200-hour yoga teacher certification lead by Mark Stephens, Santa Cruz, CA. *2015

IMG_4757Giselle Anguizola (director) has been a yogi practitioner for over a decade, after a dance injury left her with chronic pain.  She has successfully used yoga to self heal, catering to students with injuries by providing modifications when needed. She is happy to change the pace of the class, depending on students’ needs, especially to those looking for a fast-paced workout.  Her classes are designed for students of all levels.  She is an advocate for adjustments (hands-on).  She received her 200-hour teacher certification in Vinyasa and Power Yoga through the Rachel Silverman Yoga School in Anaheim, CA.  RYT/Yoga Alliance Qualified. *2015

Rashidah is a native of Philadelphia. She began her path to yoga in 2011 in search of physical an
spiritual well-being. In her sequencing, she focuses on balance and the beauty & grace of transitions. A personal mantra that she follows is Self-Love, a practice of generating positive energy inward, then working to channel that positivity outward. Taking time to understand the body with intention and care and knowing that the power of ASANA is in exploration & acceptance.
